Synopsis
Chipaya people live in the desert plateau of Bolivia, near the Chile border. They are the last indigenous Uru to speak their native language, unknown to other populations. They say they existed long before the birth of the sun, they are probably the first to have lived in Latin America. For neighboring populations, Chipaya are known as the Water Men. The documentary is part of activities carried out by GVC to support Chipaya communities and funded by the European Commission.
