Synopsis

The heart of this documentary film are the South American women taking part to the “barefoot women solar engineers project”, organized by the Barefoot College of Tilonia, India, and supported and enlarged by Enel Green Power to provide solar electricity in rural areas of South America.
At the Barefoot College women from all over the world learn how to install, repair and maintain solar photovoltaic panels. After six month they will become “Barefoot solar engineers”, and back to their villages they can install the panels and turn on the light for the community. This light will mean new perspectives, new stile of life, development, safe and clean habits.
