Alexander Nezam

Alex began his filmmaking career in 2014 with his first film, Hotel, exploring themes of possession and identity as director and composer. The film won Best Score at the St. Louis Filmmakers Showcase, and went on to screen at the St. Louis International Film Festival. After a period of volunteer work at the height of the refugee crisis in Athens, Greece, he began to produce media for various grassroots human rights organizations based in Athens, including No Border School, Giving for a Better Future, and Project Elea. He soon began the 3-month production for his second film, the feature-length documentary We Are Not Together , depicting refugee and greek communities in Athens in 2018. He continues to produce work for various human rights campaigns around the world.
