Alessandro Pedretti

Biography

He is a musician open to every musical influence. He starts playing drums in 2002, taught by Alessandro Todeschini. He keeps self-studying and in the meanwhile he starts collaborating with emerging bands near Brescia. In 2008 he joins Ettore Giuradei's band, with Marco Giuradei (piano), Nicola Panteghini (Electric guitar) and Domenico Vigliotti (mixer and sounds). In 2010 he starts studying free improvisation with the band Innerplay, lead by Emanuele Maniscalco, with Giacomo Papetti, Maurizio Rinaldi and Fabrizio Saiu. Simultaneously, he gets into the world of electronic music, and his talent can be felt in the moments he offers to the listeners, playing a 'genre' with no precise definition. The sounds of 'Petrol' is complex but surprisingly accessible; giving to the listener new ways interpretation mixing polyrhythmic elements, mathematical structures, rock lashings, clicks&drones and melodic allusions in an electro-acoustic weaving. In the autumn of 2011 he starts collaborating with Colin Edwin, Porcupine Tree's bass player. After that, he joins Silvia Dallera for the 'SiQue&Petrol' project.
